填充劑的選擇 (Filler selection)
可用於軟組織增大 (soft-tissue augmentation) 與回春 (rejuvenation) 的填充材料數量持續增加。3 它們可依不同的特性加以分類：來源 (derivation)（自體 (autologous)、異種移植 (xenograft)、同種異體移植 (allograft)、合成 (synthetic)、半合成 (semi-synthetic)）；皮膚注射的深度（真皮層 (dermal)、皮下層 (subcutaneous)）；可逆性 (reversibility)（可逆與不可逆）；以及持久性 (longevity)（暫時性與永久性）。Table 58-4 比較了部分經 FDA 核准的藥劑。了解這些不同的特性，方能在適當的解剖位置進行適當的填充劑置放。
