適應症 (Indications)
並非所有皮膚癌都需要莫氏手術 (Mohs surgery)。莫氏手術的適應症近期已根據病理性腫瘤特徵 (pathologic tumor characteristics)、腫瘤大小、臨床腫瘤特徵 (clinical tumor characteristics) 以及某些宿主特徵 (host characteristics) 加以界定。6 評分依下文及 Table 29-1 詳述的因素，分別評定為適當 (appropriate)（7 to 9）、不確定 (uncertain)（4 to 6）或不適當 (inappropriate)（1 to 3）以決定是否適用莫氏手術。
