此技術是皮膚科醫師與整形外科醫師廣泛採用的常見入路 (Figs. 13-1 through 13-3)。2
圖 13-1：針自真皮 (dermis) 的下表面穿入，在真皮內向上且向外移動，再返回於切開的傷口邊緣 (incised wound edge) 穿出。
Figure 13-1. The needle is inserted through the underside of the dermis and moves upwards and outwards in the dermis before returning to exit at the incised wound edge.
圖 13-2：接著針自切開的傷口邊緣穿入，向上且向外遠離傷口邊緣移動，並於較深的真皮 (deeper dermis) 處穿出。
