Combination peels such as Brody’s combination (solid CO2 + 35% TCA),38 Monheit’s combination (Jessner’s + 35% TCA),39 Coleman’s combination (70% GA + 35% TCA),40 and Jessner’s solution with GA41 can be used to increase the depth of penetration of the peel and its benefit without increasing the concentration, thus reducing the SE. However, these should be used cautiously in darker-skinned patients because of the risk of PIH and scarring.
