Indications

Dynamic rhytides over the glabella and medial eyebrow can be tackled with neuromodulators, followed by fillers if there is a need to address volume loss or residual static wrinkling. Patients with contraindications to neuromodulators or those who choose not to avail themselves of BTX-A treatments might be managed with fillers alone, often achieving partial improvement of dynamic and static rhytides. Glabellar volume loss can be age- and race-related or secondary to long-term BTX-A use, which may result in regional muscle atrophy and secondary volume loss. Volume loss is best managed with soft HA fillers. The glabella is frequently treated in conjunction with the forehead region, as noted above.31
