Postoperative management
Intralesional corticosteroid procedures do not require additional postoperative management. The incision site should be covered using gauze and absorbent dressing.20 Dressings should be changed daily after irrigation of the wound. Adjuvant antibiotic therapy is not indicated. Patients should always be instructed to return if symptoms (redness, swelling, pain) persist, worsen or if systemic symptoms develop.20
