Postoperative instructions
Dressings are less cumbersome than for the PFF, as the patient may drive and wear glasses. The exposed pedicle is gently cauterized and wrapped with Surgicel or Xeroform gauze. A pressure dressing is left in place for 24 to 48 hours. The patient returns 1 week later for dressing change.
