Forehead
Forehead
The forehead is usually repaired in a linear fashion, though closure vectors are of particular importance given the potential impact of repairs on eyebrow positioning. Many small forehead defects are repaired along the rhytides in a transverse fashion, and small defects often result in only temporary eyebrow elevation. Large repairs are best performed in a layered vertical fashion, and with meticulous suturing technique and eversion, the resulting scar may be almost undetectable. On the temples, wound should be repaired in a radial fashion, with special attention paid to the baseline rhytides and vectors of tissue laxity.
