The eccentric parallelogram has been advocated as an alternative to both the fusiform and rhombus repair.10 This approach provides some geometrical advantages, though like the S-plasty it results in a curved final scar. A variation of the eccentric parallelogram may also be performed using a triangleโsquareโtriangle technique that may result in a straight-line closure.
