Statisticians are experts at determining the important aspects of the research plan, such as appropriate sample size, and open discussions of project methodology allow for feedback from a statistician in addition to suitable analysis of data. Garnering a knowledge base in these disciplines will aid the clinical researcher in facilitating collaboration with statisticians within a research team.
